SQUASH – WINTER
(Cucurbita maxima) This early-maturing, prolific winter squash will ripen to a dark orange with bright yellow/orange flesh and can yield very large torpedo- or banana-shaped fruit. The nutty flavour is similar to butternut squash but sweeter and milder, with an abundance of large, nutritious seeds. Matures a few weeks before butternut. Not a thick-rinded squash, but stores well. Days to maturity: 100. (20 seeds/pkg.)
This seed is open pollinated (non-hybrid). You are welcome to produce seed from this crop for your own use.
