Medium-size, slate-blue kabocha-type squash. Sweet, dry flesh, similar to sweet potato. Long keeper. Can be started indoors May 1 and transplanted after last frost, or direct-seeded at the end of May, 1 or 2 plants per hill, hills 2 feet apart. Needs space for 7-foot vines. Days to maturity: 95.
